QUOTE (Sidney @ Mar 29 2011, 06:03 PM) Sorry if this has already been said.... but was just reading some literature on "Parkway Living".A one bedroom flat, with balcony (53sq metres) will cost upwards of £199,975 .... the kitchen/lounge are combined and referred to as "living area". Who on earth could afford this, or indeed WANT to afford this ?? Think what you could buy elsewhere for that sum ! You'd be surprised.

QUOTE (Sidney @ Mar 29 2011, 06:03 PM) Think what you could buy elsewhere for that sum ! Ahhh.... but would a pad with an equivalent price tag have such convenient access to loads of (empty) shops? It also doesn't mention that the 'designated parking' is allocated at 0.75 parking space per property (alright if you have Smart Car....)

That's what I would have thought too, however it would appear that two of the more expensive units have been reserved. Interesting to watch how this developes.

Probably a premium you have to pay for having views overlooking the new Pigeon Loft Pavilion don't you know?

QUOTE (Bofem @ Mar 30 2011, 04:31 PM) Look, there's half a Nordic forest being shipped in to timber clad the 5 storey tower block. They've got to pay for it somehow. But I thought that was why they were cutting the trees down in the park for?

QUOTE (Sidney @ Mar 29 2011, 10:47 PM) Does that mean we will get Filofaxes dropped on our head, whilst shopping, instead of fag ends ?? Oh please..... How common. Filifaxes are soooooo 90's. Surely everyone has an i-Pad now?

QUOTE (Bloggo @ Apr 5 2011, 12:38 PM) It looks like one of the two potential buyers has dropped out. Only one apartment is reserved at the present. Maybe the prices are too high? More likely time wasting nosey parkers.
