I went out today to enjoy 'Super Sunday' in Newbury - Man Utd v Man City and QPR v Chelsea - but the town was dead. Where was everyone? This is the worst I've seen it on a Sunday since I can remember for a TV football fixture list like this. Even the G 'n' P was almost empty.

We were all up at McDonalds, littering and stabbing old ladies.

Everyone was at home or their mate's place, drinking supermarket booze and watching the football.

We know about that group, but they are not (yet) everyone.

I was decorating, at home.

Seriously, I've never known Newbury so quiet on a Sunday afternoon when Man Utd are live on the telly.

I was in the Cross Keys watching the first of those two matches.

Most Man U fans in the area either had homework to do, or would have had trouble getting served now that Liquid has closed.

Most Chelsea fans would have been at home trying to work out who their manager was this month, or trying to count the number of players in their team. (they seemed a bit short towards the end of the match).

I fear that the party's over regards live footer. Even the Dolphin, up until recently, stop showing live Sunday footer.

The Canal Bar is usually always packed for Sunday afternoon football.

Not sure what it was like yesterday though.
