Hi we are looking to purchase a property only it was flooded in July 2007 following extreme rainfall and the drainage networks couldn't cope. We are stuggling to get building and contents cover and wondered if anyone else had purchased a proprety recently which was flooded and if you can offer any advice.

People that live in the same property since the flooding can currently obtain a renewal of insurance through their exisitng providers although I have been advised that this legislation is changing next year and they may also find it difficult.

Any advice or personal experiences greatly received

Thanks to everyone who has replied to this unusual thread!

I am a very nervous patient and visited the dentist for the 1st time in many many years, I went to Baldevs they were great. I saw a younger dentist who put me right at ease, I feel a lot more comfortable at the thought of having to go back now!

Both trains are stopping at Newbury Station instead of the Racecourse Station for water.

More information (including timings at our other local stations) can be found here (Saturday) and here (Sunday)

Brilliant! This is really useful, thank you.

Hi can anyone confirm if either of these trains will be stopping at the racecourse? The last steam train that came through Newbury stopped at the racecourse for water, it was a really good atmosphere and my son loved it. I just want to make sure that we don't miss it. Cheers
