QUOTE (JeffG @ Jun 19 2009, 02:45 PM) It would take me three weeks to almost fill my ordinary bin, whereas this time of year I could fill my green bin the day after collection. And no, I don't have a large garden.
Is there a case for revising the collections in the Summer? What you should do, what most people do, is fill up your ordinary bin with grass and leafs... and then put something on top. Or better still put them in bags and then put them in the black bin once your green bin is full. I did ask and I was told that they would not be revising their collection schedules.

While we're on about bins, can I ask the person who schedules bin collections not to put the wagons on main roads heading into town during peak travel time. It's as if they don't want us to drive into town!! Duh!

It's as if they don't want us to drive into town!! Duh! I did check with the council over this and was told "You'll have to be patient as they can only do it when they can." In other words; no. We have the same problem down our way; if they are then cars will have to wait or take an alternative route.

QUOTE (GMR @ Jun 19 2009, 08:27 PM) if you don't you'll probably be the only one; as I don't know a person that doesn't do that. But you might like the drive. Happy gardening. No he won't. I do it.

QUOTE (Iommi @ Jun 20 2009, 03:58 PM) I do neither... that's women's work. That is ok if you've got a woman to do it for you. I've only got a dog.

It's as if they don't want us to drive into town!! Duh! Whe would you like them to do it? 9 in the morning, just as the school run finishes? 10AM, as those doing the school run go out to do daily chores? 12 noon, as the lunch time traffic gets moving? etc. etc. etc. What does annoy me is drivers verbally abusing the workers because they are in the way. Funny how they don't get out and do it toe-to-toe?

QUOTE (Iommi @ Jun 21 2009, 01:01 AM) I guess that leaves 11 then? That'll be when the post-schhol run chores traffic heads home to do the morning playschool run. I'd like mine done at 6 in the morning when I'm on night.

GMR I have no interest in what you do with your bush, grass or "dog".

QUOTE (GMR @ Jun 21 2009, 11:03 PM) So I suppose it would be a waste of time trying to sell tickets to you then? You are not allowed to advertise on these boards
