If I asked the council to assure me that there would be no funding cuts to children centres, and the portfolio holder simply said the word "yes" and refused a supplementary, am I right to expect that no funding cuts would be made?

Why did you send me a PM saying "drugs bust: Do you know the people who got raided today?"

It was in your street!!!

Anyway, why are you deflecting the subject matter? It's a Newbury story (correct section of the forum and everythin).

Am I right to expect that no funding cuts are being made? Are the people of West Berkshire right in believing that children centres are protected???

Please explain exactly what is going on here.

Has the Labour Party been snooping on members of this forum?

What has the private message got to do with this issue? I sent that to you because I thought you might know who it was, it was a private message and has nothing to do with this thread. If you want to discuss it, send me a message back. That's how private messages work isn't it?

Are you going to answer my question about this topic?

No, I'm going to ask you how you claim to know my address and who else on this forum the Labour Party have been investigating?

Do I even have to answer that. You are desperate, whenever someone asks a question of the administration, you change the subject immediately (or try to).

For the record, I was talking to somebody on here about the drugs raid, and they said that you live on that road and you may know what it was all about. I sent you a pm and now you are making yourself look silly by trying to make a big deal out of nothing!!!

Are you going to answer the question about the topic?

You might think snooping on people who post here is "nothing" Richard, but I suspect that some might not think this way.

You have the cheek to accuse me of posting threads in the wrong section, then gatecrash a topic with ramblings about a private message I sent you.

Snooping is a serious accusation.

I thnk User is right to question you. You have every right to send a PM, but you have no right to expect User to keep a secret if he doesn't want to. It's off topic but as recent posts have shown apparently that is not considered important on this forum at the moment.

Ok it is off topic, and ok, it is questionable to use this thread to open up a new subject,
but I have experience of what I felt to be inappropriate use of a PM by RG, and I cannot see any thread about the drugs raid.

As a Party Member and candidate Richard has a more than usual access to and interest in the contents of the Electoral Roll. Have you been looking up Forum users, Richard?

Yes Richard. What you are doing is tantamount to revealing, if only to yourself, who someone is - has user23 personally revealed to you who he is? Why not just post a thread on the forum if you were genuinely interested in the bust? Drugs busts are not that unusual. Having said that, I would imagine user23 is 'enjoying' exposing another gaffe from Richard.

Here's a novel idea.

Open a thread on Random Rants, title it something like "What's wrong wih Richard Garvie?" and post any points on there that relate to any issues which any individual may have with RG.

It would save every other thread descending into garvie-bashing.

And no, I'm not defending him or his politics in any way shape or form but I am a little fed up with every thread that he posts on then becoming a personal battle.

Perhaps if Richard spent more time remembering how long he had lived at his current residence and not looking up the abodes of those who post on here he might not have been disqualified for making an invalid declaration in his nomination for the town council election.
