Graeme Hewitt of Graeme Hewitt’s High Society Jazz Band, who regularly play venues all over West Berkshire and North Hampshire ( available at cheap rates for weddings, funerals & bar mitzvahs )

I think the term is 'puff piece'

Amusing piece of nonsense. I flew all over as a schoolboy. Mostly pretending to be a Spitfire.

To get to Libya for holidays we flew by Comet & had to change at Rome for an Alitalia connection to Benghazi.
I never knew about the Comet disasters over the sea until I was a bit older.
I have come to terms with my shock, nightmare flashbacks, of not flying on the ill fated journeys.

I do understand tragedies happen, In fact I know someone whose niece perished in a Comet.
So I am apologising ....just in case for any thoughtless comment.

This isn't isolated to the NWN.

A few days ago BBC South Today showed the same interview the national news did minutes earlier, featuring a relative of someone who worked on the ship who just happened to live in the South.

All local journalism seems guilty of this to some extent.

I know someone who once stood on top of one of the two towers ( god it might have been us, we were only there last year) does this count as news, if so do I get a prize ?

EXTRA! EXTRA!

Read all about it

Newbury couple not killed in boat accident.

Narrowly avoid incident by 10 months

Brave local pair reject offers of help.

"We can make it through this on our own"

*possible winner of the most pointless non-story of the year award

It is humbling to know that I live on the planet God made for us and that Jesus once lived here too! Quite impressive really!

By this logic, because I once travelled on the A34 I can say that I narrowly avoided being involved in those accidents on it a couple of months ago?

Or how I once at some nuts and didn't die from a nut allergy that I don't have.
Thank the lord.

on the subject of the actual boat sinking:

When was the earth build? 6000 years ago?

Curse those dinosaurs for spoiling a good theory.
