Yep. But Boris and Farage combined could win a GE and that would end all remainer hope. Do you want to risk that? Go ahead. Do you feel lucky? Well do ya?😂😂

You don’t get it do you? It’ll split the Tory party. Phillip Hammond will jump ship and he won’t be alone. Brexit is finished. It was May’s deal or Remain.

You just don't get it do you? Hammond is despised. Won't make a jot of difference.

What were the percentages in West Berks? I’ve not seen them but I presume Greens and Libdems would probably be around 55-65%?

The results for West Berkshire, announced last night, were:

Change UK - The Independent Group 1,948

Conservative and Unionist Party 5,974

Green Party 6,029

Labour Party 1,632

Liberal Democrats 13,981

The Brexit Party 15,830

The Socialist Party of Great Britain 59

UK European Union Party 118

UK Independence Party 883

McMahon 54

Round 37

Turberville 30

The turnout was 39.30 per cent.

Bookies don't work on probability though, they only work on what bets are actually placed and work out the finest balance of odds to ensure the largest return whoever wins.

If BJ wins and goes for no deal the government will fall and the Tories will be wiped out. The only way out of this is a second referendum with clearly defined options.

I think you’ve got a thing for me. Newbury will be interesting though. I’d imagine Benyon will get a good chunk of his votes back in a GE but I doubt Brexit would get as many votes percentage wise so this could easily be a Lib Dem seat again. The greens did well too though and it would be a shame to see the “liberal” vote split like that here.

Just for the record I’m a floating voter.

Classic NWN headline.....Newbury MP - "I'm bored with Brexit".
That's strange, the rest of us are enthralled with it. Especially the way it has been handled by the Tories!! laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

I was really annoyed when I saw that article, the biggest thing happening in our country for 20 years which was initiated by his party and has been ballsed up by his party, and he's bored? It's an indication of how parliament feels about its electorate.

I do wonder what we'll do for entertainment if it all gets resolved amicably (like that's gonna happen).

Or Matt Hancock. None of them can get Brexit through though without a customs union. There's only one way out now.

Probably too honest if truth be told. Still, Boris is still odds on favourite in Westminster. With Tusk saying Non! To any further negotiations, unless they revoke (which would be suicide) they have simply run out of time. What a mess!
