Mad.
I have just used the OP in a light hearted e-mail and realised that the person would have no idea what I was on......
I have fond memories of passing copies in my mid teens. I didn't really understand much of the satire.
But it was cool to be in the passing circle.. I have just looked it all up. A bit of everything adults would not be amused by.

2 quotes follow.
"In 2010, the magazine's oldest and longest-running contributor, Al Jaffee, told an interviewer, "Mad was designed to corrupt the minds of children. And from what I'm gathering from the minds of people all over, we succeeded."

Mad editor John Ficarra acknowledges that changes in culture have made the task of creating fresh satire more difficult, telling an interviewer, “The editorial mission statement has always been the same: 'Everyone is lying to you, including magazines. Think for yourself. Question authority. But it’s gotten harder, as they’ve gotten better at lying and getting in on the joke.”

Interesting bit of journalistic history. ce
