You did speak for him.

Speaking for him would be to speak on his behalf; I didn’t, I gave my opinion on what I think he would believe. I might be wrong.

So he would agree with a refusal to provide halal?

The point is that it's all done in the name of a fictitious sky fairy which has been imported into Britain.
So, back to the op...........why should we, at present a majority non-muslim society, put up with it?
Or should we also tolerate eating dogs and horses next???

We shouldn't but certain do gooders play the racist card at every opportunity and it deflects from the issue at hand. Why is being anti religion "racist" anyway? The fact you follow a sky fairy has nothing to do with skin colour.😤

One can buy horse meat here. Sometimes it’s in “beef” burgers.

I can’t see that Halal slaughtered meat is any worse than our own slaughtering process. Both are pretty horrific.

Hence the racist card the racists on here get so upset about.

Believe you me there is a world of difference. If a beast has a captive bolt fired into it's brain death is almost instantaneous even though the heart is still beating, which it needs to do in order to pump the blood out of the system. In the "non-humane" method the animal dies slowly from blood loss and may still be conscious when it is disemboweled. Very few countries in the world adopt pre-stunning as a legal requirement and even less consider animals to be sentient beings. Legislation is pointless if it is going to be discarded on the whim of religious or other grounds.
Paradoxically the islamic and jewish laws regarding animal slaughter was introduced to to stop the even more barbaric practice of cutting chunks of meat off a living animal so as to keep it "fresh". The problem we have now is not the reluctance of certain religious factions to conform to modern standards but their inability to recognise that animals actually feel pain and suffering.
All mammals, (including us), have a common ancestor so to think that the rest of the animal kingdom is somehow different to us is complete b*****s.

There's nothing racist about wanting to see animals treated humanely or wanting your country's values retained.

There is if you're only bothered about Muslim slaughterhouses.

It is when you single-out particular parts of the community for issues that exist outside of that community.

Couldn't care less what the religion is it's the process that should not be acceptable.
This point has been made several times on this thread but you still insist on raising the religious / race bias.

Quite appalling but what you are witnessing is the result of local abattoir closures some 20 odd years ago, so it is little wonder that such distress is caused when vast quantities of animals are being transported long distances and butchered on an industrial scale.
Becoming vegetarian will not prevent animal cruelty, (just look at the pet trade), as it is an intrinsic part of our dna. We need a legislied standard and anyone who digresses will face a custodial sentence. Then we may see progress.

Difficult not to put 2 and 2 together when you’re Tommy’s biggest fan AND you oppose women’s rights to wear a veil. No one other than me has mentioned kosher.

There's no 2 and 2 about it. I have shown my affiliation so you have nothing to "deduce". Your 2 and 2 is an assumption of my hiding my views, so you are talking BS.
Yes, I agree with TR's sentiment. If that makes me his greatest fan, then so be it, Thank you for the accolade. I am not alone in that regard. I lived for many years near Luton and I saw first hand the demographics change. Have you?

Have you not supported the women in Iran who are being jailed for showing their hair? Have you not seen the examples of subjugated women in Iran attacking their sisters for speaking out for themselves?
This forum, due to the minimal membership, is not representative of the general population view of reality.

I think you would be surprised just how many newres types are around now. Millenials were born in the era of Blair when everyone got free sh1t and at one stage it was a lifestyle "choice" not too work. They also don't have a grounding of grandparents that went through a long and arduous 2nd world war. Instead the grandparents are baby boomers that benefited from a huge rise in properly prices post WW2. So they have a different view of the world. One of entitlement. Not all of them. But a lot of white privilleged kids do. This privilege comes quite often with a left leaning tendency that all people should have the same chances as them. And in reality they have no clue how lucky they are and how it is economically impossible for all people to have that said privilege.

So? Wise?
Because it's not sustainable.
The clue is in TDH's "economically impossible for all people to have that said privilege."
The cracks are already beginning to show.
If Corbyn gets in the they will widen considerably.

And so the culture of never working doesn’t come from growing up with unemployed parents who never worked? And when did we have mass employment? The 80s.
