Politician's moaning about social media abuse, An idea? Options

Don't use social media. Or be a bit more hard nosed. If you open a twitter account and start espousing what people should think you will always be the subject of abhorrent and sometimes racist abuse by a tiny but significant percentage of social media users that are trolls or unhinged or far left or far right etc...

Not nice but part of modern life. Deal with it. Or close your account and release press statements via another forum. Or just get another job!!!

Now that's what I call a rant. Fortunately, or otherwise, I know very little about the workings of social media but I am well aware that it causes as much consternation as it does pleasure. Even the wretched police use Facebook !!!!!!!!!

One can only rejoice in the knowledge that it is of the time and will be as outdated as Sony walkman in 10 years time.
