I bet people with anti immigration feelings are higher up the racist scale than those who are not. You don't have to be a grand wizard to have racist opinion. We all have some degree of racism or bigotry, it's a human trait.

I think the stupidest move was by Labour who embraced EU free movement too quickly and didn't plan for it. That alone has caused huge damage in social integration and further damaged trust in government.

Anti numbers is not racist. And yes Blair took us into wars and also was responsible for the damage in trust. It's a contagion now. Hollande is out and Nexit and Frexit will happen. The number is what our infrastructure can take. Not too difficult. Number of hospitals divided by people. Number of schools and places divided by number of children. Build more hospitals, doctors surgeries, schools, roads, train tracks. But DONT bl00dy moan about it when your house is compulsory purchased to complete an infrastructure project and dont play the green "we are destroying the world card". Cannot have it all ways. Liberals want it all. The world aint like that.

Mind you, just because I doubt your sinereity about your objection to immigration as being purely numerical, that doesn't mean I think everything you say is without merit. That is your exaggeration.

As it happens I think unfettered immigration is flawed, but I don't have enough facts to be sure I am right.
