QUOTE (Dodgys smarter brother. @ Sep 8 2014, 10:54 AM) I think the owner of that Facebook site is being 'wound-up'. Either that or he wants / needs the publicity. (I notice he hasn't posted any of the alleged messages from Facebook H.Q.) Any change of heart after seeing Gazzadp's post? Seem's pretty clear that Ashley was doing the right thing by the facebook group he administers after all, does it not?

QUOTE (Gazzadp @ Sep 11 2014, 09:20 PM) Good evening people I have just received the following email, as I promised it gives me great pleasure in publishing these threats. As I very much doubt that they have THREATENED the BBC or ITV NEWS in the same!
I also wish to say that I have posted the complete email on facebook, although I would expect facebook to get stroppy.
So watch this space....

Dear Sirs,
We are contacting you on behalf of the Star Wars VII production team, after photography from their film set has appeared on your Facebook page. We would please ask you to remove these images (and the video) from your page with immediate effect, as they have been obtained illegally and potentially infringe copyright.
Many thanks,
Steve

QUOTE (The Optimist @ Sep 12 2014, 12:41 AM) Any change of heart after seeing Gazzadp's post? None whatsoever. He still hasn't posted ANY messages from Facebook H.Q. (which, if you read my post was what I challenged him to produce). I think I'd be inclined to contact Disney and ask if Steve Nash was acting on their orders. (at the very least you might get a 'showaround' on the set by way of an apology).

Google Earth does it all the time. And, who or what is "accelerated intelligence".

QUOTE (user23 @ Sep 11 2014, 09:50 PM) Do you know the BBC, ITV News, Sky News and any other mainstream news media organisation didn't receive a similar email? True, but if they did, I think it is fair to say that they treated it with the same contempt as me then. As I note that the news items, complete with offending image(s) are still live. I do have to say that though, that here we are 3 days later and as of yet I have NOT received any official messages from facebook, nor have I received any other attempts at threats/intimidation using the facebook message systems from anybody else connected with the film. Likewise NO further emails have been received either. Still I am a patient person, so I look forward to what ever the next move may be. If there is to be one.

QUOTE (Strafin @ Sep 14 2014, 09:59 PM) Surely the copyright of the pictures belong to the owner of those pictures, not the subject? Copyright of the picture belongs to the person who took it - though there has been a case recently about whether remote camera shots are taken by anyone, but that's another issue. Either way AI or whoever cannot claim copyright on the photos. However, they can claim copyright in the design of the Millenium Falcon and X Fighter - in effect they are claiming that whoever took the photos is infringing their copyright by publishing the shots.

Office: (+44) 207 353 4215 Email: steve@acceleratedintelligence.co.uk May I suggest a reply: Dear Mr Nash, If you were a person in a position of power or authority, I would call your bullying attempt to restrict our freedom of expression, rights to use aerial photographs, and our own copyright, as a fascist abuse of power. As, however, you are merely a toothless representative of an insignificant little attention-seeking publicity outfit, I shall limit myself to calling you a jumped-up little pr**k. Yours, etc.,

QUOTE (Gazzadp @ Sep 23 2014, 02:09 PM) I have just received an email from the BBC asking me if I would be willing to discuss the threats, intimidation and attempts to censor certain facebook groups.
Although in all honesty I have NOT received anything else from that company or facebook, so I am of the opinion, that those emails were nothing more than a method of testing to see what responce they would garner. Those who capitulated were seen as easy targets, where as those people like myself who decided to make a stand were left well alone!
So now that leaves me with having to consider whether to reply to the BBC! I think you should. The truth has nothing to fear.

The owners of the silo complex are restricting parking in the area of their gate by placing dollies on the access road. Thought this was part of the common and not owned by them, so how are they able to enforce any restrictions?
