The evidence is that the DUP won’t back the deal because of the backstop at the border. Remove Ireland from the equation and there’s no need of a backstop. It is the sole reason the WA won’t pass because the EU requires alignment in return for an open border.

Not getting it are you, just saying it's evidence doesn't make it so. Show some links to back it up, show your workings out! 😂

I think good sense is about to prevail and the whole mess is about to be kicked into the weeds.

I think you might be right. Or else Labour will back TM’s deal with a public vote on it.

90% of the country could no longer give a flying pig whether we stay or leave as long as SOMETHING happens. It is the remaining 10% that are making the noise. It will end in another vote, either in the form of a referendum or general election, and then we can all get back to important issues like the price of german beer. rolleyes.gif

You make the mistake of thinking everyone cares and gets as excited as you do. Or the loons that phone into Farage or Fogg. If you really want to see the **** hit the fan, leave with no deal! Then you’ll see genuine anger.

Thing is.. you can laugh and take the mickey, but Sir William, has literally made up a figure and cited it as fact. But if someone questions it, the ridicule goes their way because we live in a post truth world now where lying is not only accepted - on this forum it's encouraged!

Do not recall posting it as fact, more a consensus of opinion. To someone suffering from sight monochromacy black is the same as blue and just because it appears different to you does not in itself prove anything. Back to the brexit farce and it is safe to say that when asked most will express an opinion based around their vote at the time but, and my point being, privately they just want it done and dusted either way

Can you prove that? Or is yet another 'urban myth'?
