What were the racist and homophobic comments? The ones I saw were a bit rude and sexist but nothing particularly shameful.

His local rag says "On Monday Mr O'Mara resigned from his position on the Commons Women and Equalities Committee in a row over homophobic and sexist online comments he admitted he posted more than a decade ago."

Why would he admit to something he hadn't done?
