I think it is time this chancellor is removed before he can do any more damage. I can't help think that Mr Cameron is deliberately allowing Mr Osborne to ruin his chances of being PM one day.

Frankly, vanity is all he has left. I think our economy is like a lovely old vintage car; which the owner can't afford to service. He's let the lad next door look it over, because he knows a thing about cars from working at the local filling station. The lad said it looks ok, so he's now driving flat out down the M4 and the oil light has come on, ooh and it's starting to smell funny too.....

It seems Mr Osborne cannot get away from a gaff riddled budget; notwithstanding there's no indication the austerity is an economic imperative or efficacious. And the sight of the Tories patting Mr Osborne on the back after announcing what he intends to do with disability benefits is particularly ugly. Moreover, how bad can a chancellor be when someone like Ian Duncan-Smith resigns in a fit of apparent conscience!!!

Just how much money can the disadvantaged be raided for? It must be obvious that the national debt is not going to go away with any of the Chancellors tactics. Whatever he is taking away from some with one hand it appears he is giving to others with the other?
It appears he is just tinkering around the edges of the problem instead of tackling it head on?
It's like checking you have air in your tyres when it is obvious the engine is clapped out?

I agree we must all take responsibility and try to curb spending but it must be made fair that we are actually all in this together.
Just be honest and raise taxes and of course ensure that all tax loopholes are closed off to ensure all tax due is paid in a fair and proportionate manner.

Hmm, £20billion is the figure that's required to invest in scientific and engineering research in order to break-through with fusion reactors - clean zero-carbon nuclear power that will give the UK energy security. Or we could just give the money to bankers.

Yeah, and why would we want to invest in peaceful nuclear when we've got the French Government deciding our energy policy? We have to keep paying for our nuclear weapons to maintain our special relationship and they get away with it because they think we are special needs....

A big bone of contention when we hear that some of the majors in the UK get away with sums of money that are obscene. Then on the other hand, small businesses trying to keep their head above water and pay wages to a couple of people get loaded with huge fines from HM Customs and Revenue for minor misdemeanors. Issued it appears, without appeal, and raised by some overpaid tax manager sitting in his or her plush office where no mistakes are ever made or owned up to.
