There was a lot of commotion going on there the other evening I noticed when going home from work at about 6 o'clock.

Loads of police vehicles, a sizeable audience and what appeared to be two woman attempting to get at each other physically being restrained by officers.

The two women arguing bit is a mystery though

I think you will find that a 'family' is being evicted and what you saw was the eviction notice being served. Spare a thought for the staff of Stan James Betting shop who were told by the Police that they could have been 'targets'.

I told you that Bart Street and this area was going to the dogs. It was only a matter of time before we started to see shooters.

Police called on regular basis, fights, now shotguns - and, according to the Council, this a low crime area! ohmy.gif

Low on reported crime. My experience is that people don't bother reporting anymore.

Nah, they do what you have suggested so often - they go out & sort it out. Looks like someone has done just that & armed themselves!

Sounds like that end of town is turning into the Wild West.
I keep hearing of bad things happening to both businesses and property.
I guess the Newbury Vision does not include that end.

The story only says that something was found in the bushes - one lady thinks it might be a shotgun. That's not exactly wild west, it could be some kids air rifle for all we know.

You mean like the alledged robbery which is supposed to have taken place in Bart St a while back?
