QUOTE (Turin Machine @ Jan 30 2017, 09:54 AM) Got it pretty much right as well! In your opinion. You don't say who wrote that article. It might help to give some perspective. It sounds like something Piers Morgan would write. |

The mobile version of Wikipedia looks so weird compared to the normal version. And where in that article does it say how much she earns? QUOTE Snowflake liberal. Get rid BBC. QUOTE Following the 2016 local elections, a petition on 38 Degrees was begun, which accused Kuenssberg of being biased against the Labour Party and its leader Jeremy Corbyn, and called for her dismissal. You can't have it both ways. |

QUOTE (x2lls @ Jan 27 2017, 12:12 AM) So the survey is bollox is it?
My wife has been accosted when on her way up the road, doing her thing, dressed like anyone you would see in town. What should she expect? You have to ask? The comment made was nothing to do with the survey - it was to do with the woman pictured. I really shouldn't have to explain the connection between a woman dressed perfectly normally (albeit with a headscarf) and ironically repeating a comment made by some bigoted people about ladies who dress less formally. The comment (joke) was hardly showing a bad attitude - or maybe you just don't get it. |

QUOTE (Simon Kirby @ Jan 26 2017, 12:24 PM) There's a "traffic" option under the "menu" just left of the place name dialog - that brings up live traffic on a google map on my PC browser. Thanks for that. I did not know that. Looks like traffic is at a standstill at the Andover Road end of Buckingham Road up to the school entrance. Edit: Oh no - it's the other side of the road, waiting to get out on to the Andover Road. |

QUOTE (Simon Kirby @ Jan 26 2017, 10:16 AM) I don't know exactly how it does it by Google Maps on my Android phone pops up traffic adversaries telling me the state of the local traffic - if it's not doing it for you have a look in the app settings and see if you can turn on the feature. I have a SatNav that does that for me I was actually thinking of the PC version, rather than the Android one. While we're on Google Maps, I don't know how we managed before StreetView - if I have to go somewhere new or pick up someone from a house I don't know, I usually check it out first with StreetView so I know what to look out for. |

QUOTE (x2lls @ Jan 22 2017, 09:43 PM) Is there now a situation, whereby those can ill afford a rise in the precept, get dragged into an increase of their outgoings, based on those of the population that said yes, can feel to be 'honorable', can afford to pay the extra, and don't need the financial support required? You mean like the way nearly half the country was dragged out of the EU against their will? It's just democracy at work, innit? |

QUOTE (gel @ Jan 11 2017, 10:33 AM) QUOTE In addition to building new fleets, Hitachi will maintain the trains at newly built facilities. By 2020 Hitachi will become one of the largest maintainer of UK trains. In total Hitachi will have 281 trains running on the UK network, carrying millions of passengers along intercity and commuter routes. It's never going to happen. The unions will still be arguing over who closes the doors. |

Thanks for that. I don't do hard copy news these days. QUOTE (On the edge @ Jan 8 2017, 02:31 PM) If you don't live in Greenham, don't worry, if you do, you can well afford it. I thought Greenham was places like Pigeon's Farm and The Nightingales. |
