Going back to an earlier comment while agreeing that the current social engineering trend that require these houses to be built , with no new industry coming to the area that will require a skilled workforce to move to Newbury who will be able to afford these houses the effect surely will be to drive the numbers of people requiring assistance up and increase our council taxes further.

Is it just me ? Or has anyone else noticed that the two Newbury supermarkets petrol/diesel prices are between 1 and 2 pence per litre more expensive than in Woolhampton, Calcot or Henley. Are we paying an extra a Newbury tax?
